“I tried something really different in this painting. I prepared the canvas with a very textured base that I fell in love with, but once I started painting over it I found it to be pretty challenging. The material drank in the oil paint so quickly and it was distracting trying to make forms. The painting was an overall challenge but I’m super happy with the outcome.”
